Questions people actually ask
What is the difference between a Console user and a Portal user?
A Console user administers the workspace: they create records, run reports, manage people and configure modules. A Portal user is an employee or participant who responds to work addressed to them — acknowledging a policy, accepting a handover, returning an asset. Portal seats are far cheaper because they are a far smaller job.
What happens when the trial ends?
Reads keep working and writes stop until a subscription starts. Nothing is deleted and nothing is exported out from under you. Sign-in, billing and search stay available specifically so you can get back in and either subscribe or take your data out.
Can I remove a module later?
Yes. Uninstalling hides the module and stops it counting against your plan. The records stay in the database; reinstalling brings the module back with its data.
Do you charge for the Employee Portal per sign-in?
No. Portal capacity is the number of people who can sign in, not the number who did. A seasonal workforce that signs in twice a year costs the same as one that signs in daily.
