The trial

How the 30-day trial works, how to keep its remaining days when you subscribe, and what happens to the workspace if it ends without a plan.

For OwnersLast updated 15 October 2026

Every new workspace starts with a 30-day trial, on the plan chosen at sign-up, with that plan's Console users, Portal users, storage and apps. Nothing is charged during the trial, and no card is needed to start it.

How long is left

The top bar shows how many days are left, for example 24 days left in trial.

Plans & billing gives the date it ends.

Plans & billing says when the trial ends.

From two weeks before the end, the Owner is reminded under the bell and by email that Your kitset.io trial is ending, again a week before, three days before, the day before and on the last day. Each reminder links to Plans & billing.

During the trial

You can try another plan with Save plan selection on Plans & billing: the trial switches to that plan and its apps at once, without paying. Extra capacity you price is added only when you subscribe. A change of apps from the App catalogue also applies at once.

Subscribe before it ends

Choose a plan and Continue to secure checkout. Stripe keeps the rest of your trial: nothing is taken until it ends, and back on the page a note says Subscription confirmed and that your trial continues. See Plans & billing.

If the trial ends without a plan

The workspace becomes read-only. Nothing is deleted, and everyone can still sign in, read every record and export their data. Every change is refused, and a banner at the top of each page says This workspace's trial has ended. Choose a plan to continue making changes.

The Owner's banner has Go to billing. Choose a plan and subscribe, and changes are allowed again as soon as Stripe confirms the payment.
