Stripe takes the payments for a kitset.io subscription and keeps its invoices. The Owner reaches them through Stripe's own billing portal.
Open the billing portal
Open Plans & billing.
Choose Manage subscription, under the Subscription preview. Stripe's billing portal opens.
Update the card or other payment method, read and download invoices, or cancel.
Return to kitset.io from the portal, and you land back on Plans & billing.
Manage subscription appears once a checkout has completed: until then there is no subscription for Stripe to show. If you have not subscribed yet, see Plans & billing.
When a payment fails
If Stripe cannot take a payment, it tries again on its own schedule. kitset.io tells every Owner once, under the bell and by email: A payment failed. Nothing changes for anyone else yet.
Open Plans & billing. While an invoice is unpaid, the page offers one thing: Settle the invoice in Manage subscription.
Choose it, and pay the invoice or update the card in Stripe's portal.
When the payment goes through, the subscription is active again. While the invoice is unpaid, the plan and the apps cannot be changed.
If it stays unpaid past the grace period the email names, the workspace becomes read-only. Nothing is deleted; everyone can still sign in, read every record and export. Every change is refused, and a banner on each page says This workspace has an unpaid invoice. Update payment to continue making changes. The Owner's banner has Go to billing. Paying the invoice lifts it.
Cancelling
Cancel in the billing portal. The subscription runs to the end of the period you have paid for, and Plans & billing says This subscription is set to cancel with the date. Until then everything keeps working. You can undo the cancellation in the portal before that date.
When the period ends, the workspace becomes read-only, and its data is deleted within 30 days, as the terms say. To come back before then, choose a plan and Continue to secure checkout on Plans & billing.
Who can do what
Only the Owner opens Plans & billing and the billing portal. Everyone else sees the read-only banner without its button, so tell the Owner if it appears.
